Hey kids,
Last day I went to the Getty Center it was soooo cool, I the shows were great, there was a exposition of Medieval books from “The Belles Heures of the Duke of Berry” (Getty Center Nov 18 2008-Feb 8 2009), and it was unbelievable how those people can draw in tiny pages and with so many details. Following on I found some interesting outdoor art form the artist Fernand Léger but the best part were the gardens so soft and smooth i spent all the afternoon studying there, it was so nice… Until i got back home…

Ok you’ve seen the pictures of my wonderful morning at the Getty but after roasting for 3 hours under the sun I decided to go back home and have some lunch and rest a bit, so i bought sushi on the way back and rent a movie for the afternoon, i planned the perfect day everything was going right, I went to see a museum, I studied a lot
, I took some good pictures it was the perfect day, until… I got back home… I open the door and find my roommate and her GF “Psycho Korean” in a huge fight, but as soon as i got in the two went to fight outside, but after a few minutes G. (my roommate) came back angry as hell saying that she stole her DVD’S and other stuff… well bottom line is that once she went back to talk with Psycho Korean she got int the car and they drove for a couple of blocks and well my sweet roommate thought that the only way to get out of that fight it was if she jumped out of the car while it was still moving eheh yeah very funny we spent the whole afternoon and whole night at the emergency room at the UCLA… now everything is fine but i really hope she learned the lesson and now she will stay away from Pikachu…
well kids see what happens when u try to play Die Hard? we are not that hard…

Hey kids,
Not that anybody cares, but I’m back to my lazy routine…
As many people may know the Jet Lag Italy-L.A. is like being on heroine, around 5:00pm your head starts to spin, your eyes slowly shut down and you start hearing incomprehensible noise and voices all seems unbelievably surreal, you know u want to be awake but you can’t, there is a force inside of you that is stronger than all the caffeine, adrenaline ecc… the only way to fight it is if you give up and rest.
I just made this little introduction to tell you that yesterday I fell asleep 3 times during class and the only words I could speak were: “ bauflighsur sdjuencepa tat a?” Yup!! I’m a mess eheh but today I woke up a little bit late 6:30am and I went to the gym and now I can officially say that I startede the so called routine : breakfast, gym, grocery, lunch, nap, happy hour and class… I’m so happy!!
I’ll keep you posted on my Jet Lag don’t worry…
I’ll write you later I’m going to the Getty Center and I’ll tell you all about it as soon as I get back…
Bye kids…

Hey Kids,
On the plane to L.A. I finaly got the chance to see the latet movie of one of my favorite director Mr. Woody Allen (, “Vicky Cristina Barcellona”. As many people might founded lame and nonsense, I think its pretty amazing.
Vicky (Rebecca Hall)and Cristina (Scarlett Johansson), best friends since they were born, and tow very diffrent people, form the looks up to their lifestyle, decide to spent the summer in Barcellona. Vicky is practical and traditional in her approach to love and commitment, and is engaged to the reliable but unromantic Doug. She is in Barcelona getting her masters in Catalan Identity. Cristina, on the other hand, is spontaneous and unsure of what she wants in life. She is just out of a relationship and wants to get over the bad time she had making a 12-minute film about Love.
At an art exhibition, they notice the artist Juan Antonio (Javier Bardem). Cristina is impressed with him at first sight, and grows intrigued when Judy and Mark tell the girls that the artist has suffered a violent relationship with his ex-wife, María Elena (Penélope Cruz). Later that night,in a resturant, he approaches their table, and abruptly invites them to accompany him to the town of Oviedo, where they will sight-see, drink wine and, hopefully, make love. Convinced, the pair accompany Juan Antonio to Oviedo.
At the end of the day, after some sight-seeing and a good deal of wine, Juan Antonio asks both women to come to his room. While Vicky refuses to sleep with him, Cristina agrees, but suddenly falls ill with an ulcer and food poisoning. For the remainder of the weekend, Vicky and Juan Antonio are forced to sight-see alone. During their trip, he tells her about his ex-wife and his loving but violent relationship with her. After more wine over dinner and a guitar concert in a park, Vicky succumbs to his charms and the two make love.
The next day, Juan takes them back to Barcelona. Vicky, feeling guilty, does not confess the incident to Cristina, and the two begin to grow apart, Vicky throwing herself into work and Cristina experimenting with photography and poetry. Juan Antonio calls Cristina back, and they begin to date. Cristina and Juan Antonio grow closer and they move in together. Suddenly one night, Juan Antonio receives a call that María Elena has attempted to kill herself. Since she has nowhere else to go, he brings her home, and she moves into the guest room. Though initially María Elena distrusts Cristina, she soon develops a liking for her, and the three begain a three some relationship.
As the summer winds to a close, Vicky has realized that she is unsatisfied in her married life, and is still attracted to Juan Antonio. She sees Judy cheating on her husband but understands why Judy can’t leave her husband, and confides in the older woman. Judy, who sees Vicky as a younger version of herself, takes it upon herself to bring the two together. Meanwhile, Cristina realizes that she can’t live in a threesome for the rest of her life and decides to leave Juan Antonio and María Elena. Maria does not take the news well and breaks down. Cristina goes to France to spend the last week of her summer. With their “missing link” gone, Juan Antonio and María Elena break up again.
When Cristina returns from France, Vicky confesses the entire story to her. Doug is never told the true version of events. As the three Americans return to the USA, Vicky goes back to her married life and Cristina remains where she started, not knowing what she wants, but knowing what she doesn’t. As Vicky chooses to live her planned, perceived ideal life and Christina chooses to live with no plans for life, they end where they begin.
In this picture Mr. Allen showed the “Nirvana” of passion and love. The fisical attraction between the characters is just a small part of the Nirvana, he has been able to show this with the love for the arts, the wine tasting, the trips, the sightseeing of a beautiful city, the music and the food. It’s a wonderful mix of all the hottest sins brought to life by a wonderful cast.
The choice of a warm european city like Barcellona, is to make all this possibile, the same effect could never happen if it was setted in London or Berlin, actually he made a Spanish city closer to an Italian one it almost seemed like they were in Italy if it wasn’t for the voice over telling us constanly about Gaudì and a few lines in Spanish.
Above all still remains one of the best Allen movies…
Kids hope I helped you a bit by sharing my opinions on such a great movie, directed by such a diffcult director!

Hello to everyone!
This is my last day in Naples, after some fantastic weeks on holiday…
Have you ever been in Naples? There is a huge square in the centre of the town, called “Piazza Plebiscito”. Since 14 years, during the Christmas time, it becomes an open contemporary art museum.
Here you are some of the bronze scultures by Jan Fabre:
